SOMETIMES, IT "IS" THE GLOVE!

We've all seen it... a player drops a routine "pop up" and the first thing he or she does is look at the glove. As a parent, it's tough to watch... we all know that it's not the glove. But, hold on...
maybe it is! I first became aware of this years ago while coaching Little League. When
throwing batting practice, I would often pick up a kid's glove and use it. More times
than not, I would wonder "how could anyone catch with this thing"?

Despite efforts by manufacturers to convince you to the contrary, today's gloves are stiffer
and more difficult to break in than ever. Glove companies employ marketing people whose
sole job is to reach into your pocket and pull out as much cash as they can. They do this by inventing exotic terminology to describe a really simple product. It's confusing to say the
least... and it doesn't need to be. Can you say... too much information?
